Auf der Suche nach Galapagosangeboten stiessen wir in Guayaquil zufaellig auf die Webseite www.galapagosoptions.com mit ihrem live support und chat. Jhover Alvarez Galapagos guide 3 und Manager der Company, fand schnell ein uns genehmes Boot, die "Cormorant" zu einem fantastischen last-minute Preis. Unerfahren in Internetbuchungen, hatten wir Zweifel, soviel Geld an eine Adresse zu ueberweisen von einem Reisebuero, dass wir nicht kennen und nicht gesehen haben. Aber ein persoenliches Telefonat mit Jhover Alvarez, der deutsch und englisch spricht, ueberzeugte uns und wir bekamen nach Bezahlung unsere online-voucher zugeschickt. Nach der Ladung auf den Galapagos-Inseln empfing uns der Guide der "Cormorant" am Flughafen. Wir verbrachten eine fantastische Woche auf dem kleinen gemuetlichen Schiff mit seiner aufmerksamen und freundlichen Besatzung und dem sehr guten Koch Victor. Thanks a lot for your support,... everything went allright, we very much enjoyed our trip on the Galapagos islands on the San Jose - it was phantastic!....all in all we had a wonderful time!!!
We really can recommend the San Jose! The cabins are wonderful: big beds, "real" windows on both sides (so there was always a nice breeze), hot water in the bathroom (always!). We did not get a cabin on the upper deck which turned out to be fine because the boat is more stable the closer it is to the water line. We appreciated very much the large size of the boat for only 16 passengers.
The staff: Very friendly, helpful and happy. On the San Jose the line between passengers and crew is kept, but there is also a lot of interaction which was a lot of fun. The food: Excellent!!!! Light meals, lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. The chef would take great care of vegetarians or other diets. We had a level III Naturalist Guide (Jhover Alvarez, level 3 Guide) - very knowledgable, enthusiastic about the protection of the islands, very good language skills (spanish, english, german and french). Very easy going, sociable and always very helpful and volunteering with information.
The group of passengers: We were so lucky with all of them! No problems at all and we had a lot of fun together.

Thank you for arranging the trip of a lifetime for us. The Galapagos Explorer 2 is a fantastic boat and the guides were superb, being both (Jhover and Walter) knowledgeable, friendly and professional, as were all the crew.

The days were very full, however we had plenty of time to see the islands and the wildlife as well as to relax on the boat. Our highlights were swimming within feet of sealions and turtles and also seeing the blue footed boobies in courtship.All the other things we saw and did were also first class.

Meine Eindruecke auf den Galapagos Inseln

Spontan entschloss ich mich, eine Woche Ferien auf den Galapagos zu buchen. Das Reisebuero Galapagos Options war mir dabei behilflich und der General Manager Jhover Alvarez fand auch innerst kuerzer Zeit einen Platz auf dem Schiff "Cormorant", Economy Class, was sich als ein sehr gutes Angebot herausstellte. Der Service im Reisebuero war gut und die Leute immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich kann es auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen.
Ohne grosse Erwartungen befand ich mich dann an Bord der Cormorant mit 10 weiteren Passagieren. Obwohl das Schiff klein ist und ueber keinen grossen Luxus verfuegt, habe ich mich von der ersten Sekunde an sehr wohl gefuehlt. Ein ganz spezielles Lob und ein Dankeschoen an die Crew, welche die ganze Reise ueber sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und immer guter Laune war. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet und immer schoen zubereitet. Der Guide war super, wusste viel zu erzaehlen ueber Natur und Tiere und es war stets angenehm, ihm zuzuhoeren.
Ich kann dieses Schiff allen empfehlen, die nicht viel Wert auf Luxus legen und eine zufriedene und angenehme Atmosphaere an Bord wuenschen. Ein herzliches Dankeschoen an die Cormorant, es war eine unglaublich schoene Woche mit viel Spass!

Es war wunderbar auf Galapagos, 5 Tage lang zwischen den Inseln zu kreuzen. Jede Insel wartet mit einer neuen Ueberraschung auf. Unglaublich ist auch, dass die Tiere nicht die Flucht ergreifen, im Gegenteil, die Seeloewen waren sehr neugierig und ueberholten einen beim Schnorcheln. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet, es gab oft frischen Fisch und wir wunderten uns, wie der Koch in der kleinen Kueche ein dreigaengiges Menu hinzaubern konnte. Die Reise ist empfehlenswert, besonders auch, um einen Einblick in ein spezielles Oekosystem unserer Erde zu erhalten.
