This popular resort town is on the tip of the Santa Elena Peninsula. About 150 km west of Guayaquil, it is the most westerly town on the Ecuadorian mainland. The westernmost point is a hill called La Chocolatera, located within a military base.

Salinas is called the 'best' resort in Ecuador, and its modern hotels and high-rise condos make it the seasonal haunt of affluent Ecuadorians. The water is warmest for swimming from January to March. The beaches are spectacular and are a great accent to the Ecuadorian mountains. Also available are the less-developed beaches of Playas or the north coast.

Many places to sit and relax. From January to April is high season and the atmosphere is very atractive, a real good place to enjoy beautiful beaches.

Travelling options

OPTION A

DAY 1

After breakfast, we will do a city tour in Guayaquil, visiting the main highlights of this city. Afterwards we will drive you to Salinas, where we can have lunch. You will have the afternoon to enjoy the beach, and in the night you can visit several places to have fun. Overnight in Hotel Salinas (4 stars) or Hotel Calipso (5 stars).


DAY 2

After breakfast, we will go shopping in Salinas and we will show you the best places in this city. After lunch, we return to Guayaquil.Overnight in Hotel El Rey or Hotel Unipark.


DAY 3

Transfer out, or you can take an extension. You will find more information at the bottom of this page.
